Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Drone Pilot to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) or drones that are autonomous and require minimal intervention to capture aerial footage, conduct inspections, and perform surveying tasks. You will work closely with the Founder, aerospace engineering masters and PhDs, MBAs, and other postgraduate-level subject matter and industry experts. You will play a key role in shaping our technology platform from the ground up. Responsibilities

  • Monitor autonomous drones to ensure they are operating safely and efficiently. 

  • Conduct aerial inspections of infrastructure, buildings, and construction sites. 

  • Operate drones to capture high-quality aerial footage and imagery for various projects.

  • Perform surveying tasks, including land mapping, terrain analysis, and 3D modeling. 

  • Maintain drone equipment and ensure compliance with safety regulations. 

  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure the timely completion of projects. 

  • Monitoring weather conditions to ensure safe flight operations. 

  • Conduct pre-flight checks of equipment to ensure proper functioning.

  • Observing airspace rules and regulations to avoid collisions with other aircraft 

Requirements

  • Proficient in the use of drone equipment and software. 

  • Knowledge of drone safety regulations. 

  • Strong problem-solving skills.

  • Focus and has a strong attention to detail. 

  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. 

  • Ability to travel. 

Minimum experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience operating drones for aerial inspections 

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience operating drones for aerial videography and photography 

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience operating drones for surveying tasks 

  • FAA Part 107 certification. 

  • High school diploma or equivalent 

  • 100 hours of flight time 

  • 50 hours of drone flight time

Preferred experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in aviation or a related field 

  • 100 hours of drone flight time 

  • Flight instructor certificate 

  • Airline transport pilot certificate
